Relations between Kosovo and Switzerland are foreign relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Swiss Confederation. Kosovo declared its independence from Serbia on 17 February 2008 and Switzerland recognized it on 27 February 2008. Switzerland has had an embassy in Pristina since 28 March 2008.

 

 

ORGANIZATION

 

ProKosova aims to promote the reputation, understanding and contact of the Kosovar diaspora in Switzerland as well as between Switzerland and Kosovo. ProKosova is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that is a non-profit, tax-exempt association. It is registered in Switzerland and Kosovo.  The board is made up of equal numbers of Swiss citizens, members of the Kosovar diaspora in Switzerland and an authorized representative in Kosovo.

 

PURPOSE

For a long time, Kosovars remained invisible in Switzerland. In the 1990s, they fell victim to racist stereotypes. Today, there are many connections. A look at how the two countries have grown together.

ProKosova unterstutzt Projekte, die der Forderung von Kultur, Bildung und Spot, der Forderung von Integrationsbemuhun gen und der Forderung von Handelsbeziehungen dienen.

proKosova can later be converted into a foundation.
Beziehungen zwischen Kosovo und der Schweiz sind Aubenbeziehugen zwischen der Republik Kosovo und de/Schweizerishchen Eidgenossenschaft. Kosovo erklarte am 17. Februar 2008 sein unabhangigkeit von Serbien und die Schweiz erkannte sie am 27. Febrauar 2008 an. Die schweiz hat seit dem 28. Marz 2008 eine Botschaft in Pristina.
